1.Overview of Marketing (Brief History and Mission Statement)

Aeropostale, Inc. is a mall-based international fashion retailer. According to their investment literature, Aeropostale states: "our mission is to be the premier apparel destination for young adults."Aeropostale was started for Macy’s department store under a private label in 1982 (Shop Aeropostale, n.d.). In 1987 Aeropostale, Inc became an indedepndent brand as Aeropostale 1987.

Aeropostale Inc. sells a range of apparel, including graphic t-shirts, tops, bottoms, sweaters, jeans, outerwear and accessories for kids and young adults. Aeropostale Inc can be divided in two divison. One is Aeropostale,  another is Aeropostale PS. Aeropostale  targets 14 to 17year-old young women and men, Aeropostale PS  targets 4 to 12 year-old kids through its Aeropostale and Aeropostale P.S. stores.  Aeropostale products can only be purchased in its Aeropostale stores and online at www.Aeropostale.com. Aeropostale employed 4,205 full-time and 22,074 part-time employees. Also employed 825 of our employees at corporate offices and in distribution centers.

Aeropostale jeans: Aeropostale sells many fashion products and jeans is one of them. Aeropostale carries mens and womens jeans. They have:

  • straight leg jeans and many more
